What the Bible says about: worry

Devotional Guidance

My beloved child, know that the weight of worry is a heavy burden placed upon your heart, but I offer you a pathway to release it. The Scriptures teach us that when we allow doubt and fear to take hold, we lose assurance and peace. Worry is the voice of uncertainty trying to control your life, but true freedom is found when we surrender that fear to the One who holds all things. When you seek Him, you find a profound rest. Instead of letting fear paralyze you, remember that God is your protector and your strength. By trusting in His unfailing love, you can find the wings of peace that allow you to fly above the storm. Let go of what you cannot control, and rest in the knowledge that your life is held securely in His hands.
Deuteronomy 28:66-68
66. And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: 67. In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
1 Chronicles 21:30
30. But David could not go before it to inquire of God: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
Job 9:34-35
34. Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me: 35. Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me.
Psalms 55:5-10
5. Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me. 6. And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. 7. Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah. 8. I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest. 9. Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
2 Kings 17:39-41
39. But the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies. 40. Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner. 41. So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.
