Devotional Guidance
My beloved child, know this truth deep within your heart: when sickness comes, you are not alone. The Scriptures teach us that physical pain and suffering are real burdens, and sometimes the heart groans with distress. Yet, even in the deepest sorrow, we are held by the mighty hand of God.
He is the Great Physician, who knows every ailment and every brokenness. Though sickness may appear overwhelming, remember that God is sovereign over all things. He promises to bring relief and healing, offering a balm for our wounds when we trust in Him. Do not despair; seek His presence, for in Him lies the power to restore health and bring peace to your soul.
Psalms 38:6-11
6. I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. 7. For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease : and there is no soundness in my flesh. 8. I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart. 9. Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee. 10. My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
Deuteronomy 7:15-18
15. And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. 16. And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee. 17. If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?
Jeremiah 8:22
22. Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
Mark 1:29-33
29. And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30. But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. 31. And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. 32. And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
Deuteronomy 28:59-62
59. Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60. Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61. Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
