My beloved child, hear the truth of the heart regarding sacrifice. It is much more than an act of ritual; it is the deepest expression of our love and devotion to the Lord. When we offer our lives, our gifts, and our very selves, we are acknowledging that our blessings flow from Him alone.
Sacrifice teaches us that true worship is found in obedience and a sincere heart. It is about bringing our whole selves—our best and purest intentions—before God, seeking His favor and recognizing that true provision comes from Him. When we offer our devotion, we are not merely fulfilling a duty, but entering into a sacred relationship where our lives become a sweet offering, bringing us closer to the Father's heart. Let this truth fill your spirit: your life, offered in love, is a blessing.
Leviticus 1:17
17. And he shall cleave it with the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
Psalms 51:19
19. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
Leviticus 3:1-3
1. And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD. 2. And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
Habakkuk 1:16-17
16. Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous. 17. Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
Leviticus 7:16-18
16. But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offereth his sacrifice: and on the morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten: 17. But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire.
