Devotional Guidance
My beloved children, know that the journey of parenting is a sacred calling, woven with deep love and divine purpose. The Scriptures teach us that parents are entrusted with the precious task of guiding their children, imparting wisdom, and nurturing their spirits in the Lord. It is through instruction and the faithful teaching of God’s ways that we prepare our children for a life of understanding and integrity.
We are called to honor our parents, recognizing the foundational role they play in our lives, and to respond with obedience and gentle care. May we strive to build bridges of love between generations, allowing the hearts of fathers and children to flow with grace. By honoring one another, we reflect the beautiful order of God’s design, ensuring that wisdom and light pass from one generation to the next.
Ecclesiastes 11:10
10. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
Genesis 44:34
34. For how shall I go up to my father, and the lad be not with me? lest peradventure I see the evil that shall come on my father.
Proverbs 4:1-6
1. Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. 2. For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. 3. For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. 4. He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. 5. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
Ephesians 6:1-6
1. Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 3. That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. 4. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. 5. Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
Malachi 4:6
