What the Bible says about: overcoming

Devotional Guidance

My beloved child, know this truth deep within your heart: overcoming is not merely surviving the storm, but thriving in the presence of the One who holds the seas. When trouble comes, remember that you are never alone; the darkness cannot cover the light, for I am with you to deliver you. The path of overcoming is found in trusting in God’s steadfast promise. Whether facing hardship or conflict, we are called to respond not with fear, but with grace. Instead of being overcome *by* evil, we are empowered to overcome evil *with* good. By choosing compassion, kindness, and love in the face of difficulty, we reflect the divine strength that moves mountains. Embrace this truth, and know that in all things, I am your strength and your deliverance.
Job 3:26
26. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
Acts 27:44
44. And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.
Job 23:17
17. Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face.
Jeremiah 1:19
19. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
Romans 12:20-21
20. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
