Devotional Guidance
My dear one, know that the heart knows sorrow. The Scriptures reveal that grief is a deeply human experience—a natural echo of pain, loss, and brokenness. When we face deep sadness, our tears are valid, and our sighs are heard. The Bible teaches us that sorrow is a real part of the journey, yet it is never meant to consume us entirely.
God sees the weight you carry. He has experienced mourning and deep sorrow, and He knows the pain that resides within you. Though life brings shadows, remember that even in the deepest grief, there is a divine presence. We are called to walk through this sorrow, knowing that even when we feel forgotten, we are held by a love that endures. May you find gentle peace in the midst of your tears.
Job 2:12-13
12. And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven. 13. So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
Numbers 20:29
29. And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.
Psalms 31:10-13
10. For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed. 11. I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me. 12. I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.
Ezekiel 31:15-16
15. Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.
Isaiah 53:9-11
9. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. 10. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
