Devotional Guidance
My beloved child, let us speak gently about the shadow of fear that often troubles our hearts. The world teaches us to live in constant anxiety, dwelling on what might happen tomorrow. But the Scriptures reveal a deeper truth: there is a difference between paralyzing fear and the sacred reverence we hold for the Divine.
True wisdom begins when we understand that the fear of the Lord is not a chain of terror, but the very beginning of understanding and peace. When we anchor our lives in trust, we exchange the fear of our own limitations for the assurance of God’s steadfast love. By resting in His presence, we find the freedom to walk with confidence, knowing that His care surpasses all our worries. May you find rest in knowing that with Him, we are held securely.
Deuteronomy 28:66-68
66. And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: 67. In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
Job 9:34-35
34. Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me: 35. Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me.
Psalms 55:5-10
5. Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me. 6. And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. 7. Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah. 8. I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest. 9. Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
1 Chronicles 21:30
30. But David could not go before it to inquire of God: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
Psalms 111:10
10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments : his praise endureth for ever.
