What the Bible says about: comfort

Devotional Guidance

My beloved child, remember that true comfort is not found in the absence of trouble, but in the presence of the One who holds all things. When life brings heavy burdens, know that safety is found not in our own strength, but in the steadfastness of the Lord. He invites us to lay down our worries and find rest in Him. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you peace that surpasses all understanding. By taking His yoke upon you, you discover a freedom where your soul can truly rest. Find your stability in community and trust, for where your foot stands in faith, there you will bless the Lord. In His presence, we find the deep, abiding peace that sustains us through every season.
Acts 14:28
28. And there they abode long time with the disciples.
Job 3:26
26. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
Proverbs 21:31
31. The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
Psalms 26:12
12. My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
Matthew 11:28-30
28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
