Baptism is a profound invitation, a beautiful gateway into the life of God. It is not merely a ritual of water, but a powerful declaration of the heart—a public sign of repentance and a stepping stone toward new life in Christ. When we are baptized, we acknowledge our need for change and commit ourselves to following the path of Jesus.
This act opens the door for the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, transforming us from the outside in. It is through this grace that we are united with the Father and the Son. Like Jesus Himself, we are called to drink from the cup of His life, receiving the power of the Spirit that guides us and empowers us to live fully in love. Embrace this calling, for it is the beginning of your journey home.
Acts 10:48
48. And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
Matthew 3:11-14
11. I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: 12. Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. 13. Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
Mark 1:8-13
8. I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. 9. And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. 10. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: 11. Acts 19:4-8
4. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5. When they heard this , they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. 7. And all the men were about twelve.
Mark 10:38-41
38. But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? 39. And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized: 40. But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
