And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to-morrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even.
So David told him, āLook, tomorrow is the New Moon, and Iām supposed to sit down and eat with the king. Instead, let me go, and Iāll hide in the countryside for the next two nights.
David said to Jonathan, āBehold, tomorrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit at table with the king. But let me go, that I may hide myself in the field till the third day at evening.
